A research prototype for global rural accessibility
RAI-Next is designed as an academic observatory for exploring how rural populations connect to services, opportunities, and infrastructure.
Project description
The platform presents a modern web interface for a future global Rural Accessibility Index that combines road-network distance calculations, rural population weighting, open service-location data, and dimension-level scoring.
Prototype status
The current site uses fake demonstration scores. Final country and indicator values should be generated by the RAI-Next calculation pipeline and dropped into the same data folder.
Team and institutions
Team information is loaded from public/data/team_members.json so project members can be added without changing page code.
